If you see this, please comment. I'm concerned about you with the terrible storms that ripped through your state.

Big gas tanks just to the south of downtown Dallas proper (like... less than 5-10 minutes - I know the area they're talking about) are blowing up like big boom time over and over and over. It's on the side of the city where the museums are. They've shut down the highways. It's really impressive. No word yet on how it happened.
Update: Now they say some of the debris and explosion from the tanks hit the human society over there. :/ The fuel involved is the super hot stuff. And man, the traffic is hitting GRIDLOCK. The news people are all pretty freaked, although they're a little better now. It's pretty close to the news studio and it's rocking the windows.

Man burns books in protest.
I wish I had his contact information. I know that I, and probably some of you would be happy to give them loving homes.

I'll celebrate anything that involves chocolate, but only on my own terms. Therefore, I do hereby declare this evening to be gorge yourself on goodies time, and I shall be over here consuming lots of chocolate cake, cookies, and york peppermint patties. I shall clean the palette between courses with a few lifesaver gummies. In honor of the festivities, I will waive the usual adherence to serving size, because serving size is not for goody day! *fistpump*

I colorized a picture of Reishin from the manga, and there are a few icon crops made from that. Feel free to take them or share them as you wish. I left the gallery open to the general public.

I went to work today in a t-shirt.
It was 80 degrees.
For the record, it's been nearly 80 all week.
We had to turn on the air conditioning at work.
The temperature is now 38 degrees and falling (feels like 28).
Ah.. dear me. My pleas for a hard freeze have been heard, but I must confess to being a bit picky.
I would have liked it to have dropped over a matter of days, not hours. o_0;
The temperature went down the first twenty degrees in ONE HOUR.
They say it's going to snow.

Thank you
wens because this quiz was awesome. :)
Yep. Nailed me. And we do too speak dictionary English. I've been stopped more than once by passing linguists, which is horribly amusing to me, because they heard me speaking and I was a textbook example of the 'perfect English' study for the language. Eat your heart out Henry Higgins! *cackle* Now, I AM a little nasal compared to many people. That I confess, but I actually pronounce all the vowel sounds distinctly. *gasp*

My mother, knowing my love of all things Holmes, was quite pleased with herself for being able to point something out to me I hadn't seen yet - a little Holmes parody. Quite well done, in my personal opinion.
